Inverclyde (Inbhir Chluaidh around Gaelic) is one of 32 unitary council regions inside Scotland. It borders onto Renfrewshire and North Ayrshire. A council region is in the traditional county of Renfrewshire.
A title derives from either a out barony of Inverclyde (1897) conferred upon Sir John Burns of Wemyss Bay and his heirs.
